Lisa’s books have sold over 200 000 copies and continue to motivate people to get fit, lose weight, regain health and make the most of each day to fulfill their ambitions.
Lisa has fulfilled many of her own ambitions in sport and business.

A three-time Olympian and Commonwealth Games competitor, Lisa was the first mother to represent Australia in the Auckland Commonwealth Games and Barcelona Olympics. She proved that age, motherhood, or time, is not a factor in performing at the Elite International level.

She has coached and competed with her Outrigger Team to win 4 World Championships in the 72km Outrigger Canoe race across the Molokai Channel in Hawaii. Her team was the first Australian Team and then the first International Club Team to win in the history of the race. In 2004, her club team Mooloolaba, broke the world record which has stood for 10 years - by 2 minutes, crossing the finish line in 5 hours 22 min and 12 sec.

Lisa has won many of the major international One Man Outrigger races culminating in the solo World Championship in 2005 in a winning time of 4 hrs 46 min 2sec. The first Australian to ever win this race.

Her swimwear company, Hot Curry, won two awards at the prestigious RAQ Fashion Awards, taking out the Swimwear Award as well as the Excellence in Manufacturing Award. Another dream fulfilled.

In 2000, Lisa was appointed by the Prime Minister John Howard as the Chairman of the National Australia Day Council. Lisa is the first woman to be appointed as Chair.

Lisa continues to coach, train, work and learn to be “the best she can be” and “to take as many people as possible with me for the journey. When you help others – you also help yourself.”

Lisa is married to Olympic bronze kayak medalist, and Ironman legend, Grant Kenny. They have 3 children and live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
